A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

12 ounce bottle. Deep honey gold color topped by a medium-sized creamy beige head. Big pine and citrus hop nose with hints of over ripe tropical fruit. Upfront, lotโ€™s of resiny hops and burnt sugar malt. I can detect slight mango and pineapple, but it is very faint and overwhelmed by the huge rush of peppery, bitter, piney hops that dominate the plate. Make no mistake, this is a huge and intense 3X IPA that challenges the senses. A lupulin love fest! The finish is long dry and bitter and intensely warming. Huha!

On tap at Flannyโ€™s in Tempe during the tap takeover. It pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin white head. The aroma is full up fir tree reminding me of the first time I tried Winter Yulesmith. Behind the big sap, pine cone and pine needle hop notes I get a modest amount of sweetness and a light sense of booze. The taste is full and big with robust levels of malt sweetened fir tree and pine sap hoppiness. The hops have loads of both flavor and bitterness. It then rolls toward a pleasing smooth fairly thick sweet malty body finish. Yummy relaxing sipper. Dig it! If youโ€™re in the mood for something tame and subtle try a different beer.

Location: Draft at Ginger Man, 5/18/13

Aroma: The nose is fresh and hoppy, with some nice citrus, pine, and a bit of malts as well
Appearance: This one pours a clear amber color with an off-white head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is similar, with some citrus, a bit of sweetness, and some hop bitterness too
Palate: The body is medium-plus, with a bit of stickiness, and a solid overall mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I enjoyed this one. It was a very solid example of the style, that I would happily drink again. Nice job by Green Flask with this one.

Tap at the Ginger Man, NYC, 18/05/13. Nose is hops, caramel malt, citrus, bitter orange, hint of pine. Taste comprises hops, pine resin, caramel malt, sugars, bitter fruits, citrus. Full bodied with fine carbonation pitched at a level to keep this drinkable. OK DIPA - not too much depth to it or โ€™wowโ€™ factor but delivers the goods.

On tap at Mohawk Bend, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of floral hops galore, grass and some biscuity malts. Flavour brings out loads of floral hops, like a meadow, lots of grass, and some biscuity malts. Good stuff, but overrated.
