A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

On tap @ Freshcraft. Pours a hazy orange appearance with a cream colored head. Tropical fruity, mango, pineapple, a bit dank aroma. Juicy grapefruity, pineapple, orange, herbal hoppy, a bit thick pale malty flavor. Pretty tasty.

Bottle. Pours with a clear, medium gold hued body with a small white head. Some particles. Great lace. Aromas are of pine, strong fruits, pomelo, tamarind, resin and dates. Mild malt (cereal) and ethanol sweetness. Flavors are slightly bitter, odd hop flavors: citrus, pine, raisin and bug spray with tamarind. Light grainy malt. Immediately warming. Dry finish, quite boozy, ethanol sweetness. Decent.

Whole Foods, Bowery 12oz ($4): Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma is a ton of grapefruit, mango, and other tropical fruits. Taste is very hop forward, with a slightly sweet malty undertone. Body is not as thick as I was expecting. Easy to drink and alcohol is well covered. Quite good.

Pours deep hazy amber into a snifter. Dank resin and molasses aromas. White head recedes to skim surface. Soft with dearly toffee, molasses and hot vanilla front to back.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours golden amber with a foamy whitish head. Aroma is primarily resin. Some floral. Med body, maybe better. Starts rather floral and tropical. Moves on to something suggesting raisin. Moves back towards tropical/resin. Itโ€™s pretty hoppy, and fairly bitter. Very unusual (to me) hop profile. A little woody? Keeps changing. Nice drink.

Pours a cloudy, pale yellow, with little to no head. Aroma is very fruity, very tropical. Flavor has some citrus, some tropical fruit, a nice hint of sweetness. Alcohol content is well-hidden. Oily, resinous mouthfeel. Very good beer.

Draft: Orange peel and grass nose. Hazy amber, thin head, good lacing. Uncharacteristically perfumey for this brewer, rose petals, orange peel, daffodils. Pretty bitter, about as boozy as one would expect for 10+%. Much more floral than expected. Unrecognizable as a Green Flash beer, and I didnโ€™t like the hop bill in this one, but still good.

On Tap at the New England Tap house Grille. Poured in front of me this beer fills the glass with a slightly hazy deep straw light golden color liquid with a smallish off white head that shows moderate retention. Huge hoppy aroma with a bitter green onion, pine resin, pithy citrus, and a touch of licorice. Malt, yeah maybe there is, but with the hops and alcohol I canโ€™t find any in the nose. the flavor has a light bready malt in there but its mostly obscured with pine resin licorice citrus and alcohol. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. Nice double ipa but for me the alcohol was a bit too present, sometimes harsh, and distracted me from totally enjoying this beer.

Taste from Leonโ€™s in Decatur. Clear gold color, with a big, creamy, beige head. The aroma is caramel, white bread, butterscotch, smooth resin, and strong floral notes. The flavor is very sweet, and surprisingly subdued bitterness, which lingers long through the aftertaste. Medium to heavy body, creamy, and lightly effervescent. Overall, this is an aggressively hopped, but well balanced, delicious beer. Highly recommended.
