Slightly hazy copper and orange coloured body with a rich, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, pine, flowers, earth and quite a bit of perfume. Full-bodied; Rich resin flavour with pine, passionfruit, pineapple, flowers and grass, all with a very defined malt flavour and tons of sweetness from the fruit and all the unfinished sugars. Aftertaste shows more resin and pineapple flavours than anything else, but the alcohol comes heavy at the finish, very warming! Overall, a very nice beer for the style, and definitely a big beer - almost showing some Barley Wine Qualities, but the Imperial IPA aspects still hit hardest. I sampled this Green Flash-special twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 30-November-2014 for US$3,49 sampled at home in Washington on 05-February-2015 after just coming back from Southern California.

A real hop bomb. Plenty of burn. Extreme citrus, lemony acidic nose and taste. Orange amber body with very thin wispy head. Extremely bitter, but tasty, in small sips.

Bottle [from Secret Santa 2014 edition thanks to beerandblues2] @ home. Clear orange golden color, full sized white to off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, hops, slightly sweetish floral. Taste malts, hops, resin and pine suddenly kick in which was what I was waiting for and it’s finished with good firm bitterness that absolutely suits the beer perfectly. Good firm bitter finish. Pretty good DIPA.

Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of slightly stale fruity, "green" and piney hops and some malt. Sweetish flavor with malt, stale fruity and piney hops and a very bitter finish. OK, could be fresher. Also too heavy.

355ml bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, pale amber. Thin, glossy, lasting, cream coloured head. Spicy, ginger biscuit sweet, malts. Nicely fusty, dank, orangey hop. Some tinned pineapple. Strawberry toffee. Some pungent, piny hop, too. All DIPA boxes ticked. Taste is chewy sweet. Piny, resinous bitter. Dank, citrus fruit, pithy bitter. Palate is full, oily, and chewy. Doesn’t particularly feel 10% though. Finishes chewy sweet, then long, resinous, pithy bitter. Didn’t want this one to end.

A 10.1% Triple IPA mail order from Antenna America (thanks Brian!). Served in a snifter it pours a remarkably clear and vibrant copper hue with minimal off-white foam. The nose is big earthy pine dankness with some fruity overtones. Medium bodied with a slickness to the mouthfeel which clashes slightly with the abrasive palate cleansing carbonation. The taste is nice and clean - tons of hops that give you a wide range of flavors tropical fruits, piney, bitter, dank, citrus and then a decent malty caramel sweetness from the malts. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, I was expecting something like an American Barleywine but I can truly say this really does feel like a Triple IPA. Nice.

Bottle: Bright copper, topped with a finger of frothy sandy head. An absolutely gorgeous pour. Smells sweet and floral, oddly herbal. Something doesn’t jive, just right and it seems to get a little woody in the taste. Lots of floral and faint citrus, but there is a stale fruity taste that I don’t enjoy. Lingering hops finish.
