Light amber color with creamy head. One of those Double IPAs with a strong animal character; it’s full bodied and fairly sweet, with moderate fruity contribution and strong resiny final
Good but a bit cloying.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light speckled lacing clinging here and there.
The smell had a good amount of sweet citrus accompanied by sweet and bitter piney hops. Light earthy spice enters in as it warms.
The taste was mainly sweet citrus with a nice allocation of bitter piney earthy spices.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body showing a sipper aspect about it because I’m noticing the alcohol a bit in this one. The carbonation was there and showed it’s crisp - ness in a DIPA, hey now - honestly not bad, I like it.
Overall, good DIPA or er...Triple IPA, whatever it is, I’ll take it again.

Bottle, Beer Moth, Manchester. Clear orange/copper pour with a rather meek white head. Fragrant resinous hop laden beak. A hearty further dose of piney hop arrived in the flavour alongside tropical and citrus fruits, a little warming booze and a decent malt spine. ABV pretty well smothered. Bittersweet finish. This floated my boat and got the juices flowing.

Bottle. A lightly hazy dark golden beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Lots of pine cones and resins on the nose, some herbs and a faint cheesy oxidized touch. Sure a bit old this one, but damn nice anyway. Some caramel and hints of liverpaste. In a nice way that is. It’s quite sweet on the palate, full-bodied and with a pleasant carbonation level. Pine cones, citrus peel, resins and a cheesy touch in the flavor. Pale malts and some sweetness. Lasting bitterness with lots of hop flavors. Wonderful indeed, would be very interesting to have this one fresh. 140717

Bottle 355ml @ geokkjer
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, orange, grape, pine and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long warm, bitter and fruity finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Seems a bit old would like to try it fresh.

Bottle at home. Very dry and bitter, sweet toffee, light fruit, not much on the nose.

Bottle shared at The Kernel - London. Many thanks to The Peter for this one! Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy, white head. The nose has some dead, ripening orange and slight honey. Medium sweet flavor with crackery pale malts, pine, alcohol, rich citrus and bread. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming to finish, moderately resinous, with big alcohol and some dried bread. OK.

Huge IPA here. Pours orange with good head and lacing. Big smell of citrus and pine. Almost a little spice and mint. Some light sweet malt, hints of caramel. Finishes very bitter. Soft carbonation. Tap at Churchkey.

clear yellow, smooth offwhite head. mild but quite bitter hoppy aroma. flavor is very bitter hoppy, slightly malty, kinda one-sided, an DIPA with just loads of all without much attention to detail. reminds me of some of the stronger rogue ipa’s.
