A generous dose of strawberries were allowed a tertiary fermentation with a wheat based beer. A fresh sweet strawberry perfume gives way to earthy funk, bracing acidity & malt undertones with a lively carbonation & underlying oak tannins.

$10 discounted bottle from Grapevine Beer. Wine glass @the lodge. Frothy, thin splatter. Dulled out but clear deep gold pour. Nose is cultured sour notes, veg, dried strawberries & powdered sugar. Taste is a soft & bittersweet balsamic vinegar sour with green/unripe sour strawberries & some barrel pith. Would have preferred more fruit. Okay to good.

Extremely sour, not a ton of strawberry flavor.

Aromas are an interesting blend of fresh ripe strawberries and funk. Flavors losses most of the strawberry and ends up being funky tarte beer with very little sweet to balance. Kind of a disappointment considering its score.

On tap at Firestone Walker, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with fresh, gently tart cherries, with a little acidity, and some wild funkiness. Flavour follows accordingly, bringing out a huge strawberry character, with light acidity, light tartness, and some jamminess. That strawberry is expressed beautifully. Really good.

Beer is decent, but need more out of a wild ale.

375 c&c from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent copper with a creamy white head. Aroma is very fresh strawberry with mild sourish notes. Approaching medium body. Flavor is firmly strawberry, and it's dry with moderate sourness. Some rather fresh wood provides astringency. At least there's no mustiness. Acidity is present, but quite tolerable. Nice sour. Good result for strawberries!

Pours a light hazy copper-red colour and a white head with little retention. Aroma's: sourish, sweet fruit (strawberry), light funky, woody. Retronasal it's sourish, fruity, light sweet (Strawberry), light funky. Flavour is moderate sour with light fruit and sweetness. Light bodied. Light funky throughout. Finish is slightly dry and funky.
