Beer of spontaneous fermentation. Lindemans Apple is made from one-year-old oak-aged lambic and apple juice. The tasting experience, which is quite exceptional, offers a perfect balance between the sweetness of red apples, the freshness of green apples and the sourness of traditional lambic beers

375ml bottle. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma: apple, sugary sweet. Taste: quite sweet, sugary apple juice going slightly tart and sour. Medium body, fizzy carbonation, syrupy. Nice stuff but wouldn’t want more than one bottle. Alcoholic apple juice, like a sweet cider but syrupy.

0.25 l bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. I don’t think I ever tried it. Hazy golden, medium off-white head. Apple candy aroma, yeast, funky. Fruity. Moderate sour, light skunky. Medium body, medium carbonation. Apple dominating in the finish. Nice sourness, not bad at all.

The beer starts sweetish fruity, hints of lambic in the back. The apples are like bubblegum, slightly sweetish with lots of (slightly artificial) apples. The aftertaste is sweetish with only sourish hints, not too deep, for me too artificial apple-aroma and a bit too less Lambic here.

A little too sugary for your typical lambic. Not very complex, but still good and well done. Probably underrated on that front, overall I mean. Poirs hazy blonde with ok head. Light sweet and sour finish. Bottle.

250ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of sweet concentrated apple juice. Taste is sour and very sweet, floral juicy apple, fruity, hint of dessert pear, lactic, funk, slight straw note. Light bodied, soft carbonation, sweet finish. Quite OK.

BOTTLE 12 CL. Clear golden, rich ivory head. Aroma is a bit funky actually, mut mostly apple skins, fresh apple puree. The taste is similar, clean fruity and natural. Light nutty bitterness and pretty. The acidity is more like that in the commercial juices. Nice apple, but not much beer.

Backlog. 750 from Old Town. Huge apple aromas most sweet but with a slight tartness as it warms. Candy apple on the palate, sweet but with weird tartness toward the finish. Just too sweet and a weird little bit on the finish. Meh.
