Beer of spontaneous fermentation. Lindemans Apple is made from one-year-old oak-aged lambic and apple juice. The tasting experience, which is quite exceptional, offers a perfect balance between the sweetness of red apples, the freshness of green apples and the sourness of traditional lambic beers

Uklar lysbrun farge med hvitt skum. Lukter gjær og søtsyrlige epler. Vinøs.Smaken er også god syrlig. Epler smaker det selvfølgelig også. Veldig godt karbonert. Liker denne godt.

0,375L bottle, BB 14.01.2015. Pours clear orange with white head. Aroma is sweet and sour, apples, some wheat. Flavor is very sweet, apples, some metallic notes. Doesn’t feel watery despite the low ABV. Overall: ok brew.

Hazy golden with a white head. Sweet tart apple aroma- clean, crisp, floral, sour. Taste has apple, lots of sugar and slight tartness at the end. Light body and carbonation.

Pours slight hazy yellow with a small quickly dissipating head, leaving some lacings. Aroma is apple, pear, citrus, wheat and some sweet note. Taste is a bit sour apple flesh up-front, developes to more artificial sweeter apples tones, with wheat, citrus and grass. Medium body, medium carbo, slight sticky texture. Nah, too much sweet apple dominance, slight artificial at times.

Lindemans was one of the lambic breweries which pioneered the sweetened, to some extent ’industrialized’, light fruit beers with lambic base; after sweet kriek, framboise, pêche and cassis beers, they finally came up with this apple version. Dense, light yellowish white head, orange blonde colour, clear. Aroma penetrated by lots and lots of sugary, industrial apple juice, very little lambic character remains noticeable. Very sweet, sugary taste, again reminiscent of ascorbic acid and industrial apple juice with little else; the finish is thin with mostly sugary sweetness covering a very faint hint of actual lambic. One-dimensional and much too sweet, but people who like apple juice instead of beer (let alone lambic) will surely appreciate this.

Bottle @ St Nicolas, Brussels. Pours hazy golden with a huge white head, leving some nice lacings. Aroma is sweet apples, sugar, maybe a hint of sourness, apple juice. Flavor is sweet green apples, apple juice, thankfully there is more sourness present as well, sugar. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 290714

Hazy golden with a white head - Apple aroma with hints of sourness in the back - Good malt body with a good apple flavour with some hints of sour apple in the back - Good apple flavour in the finish - This was good and refreshing on a very hot summer day
