Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Mostly clear, pale copper colour. Thin, but dense, lacing, lasting, white head. Nose has soft, sweet grain. Some pine sap. Some hop spice. A little baked citrus. Overall it’s fairly muted, but clean. Taste has well balanced spicy bitterness and grainy sweetness. Medium body. Low carbonation. More sap and hop spice to finish.

16 ounce can. Tawny gold color. Small frothy beige head. Fragrant citrus hop nose. Toasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of biscuit, grain and dank citrus hops. Finish is dry and crisp. This is a well crafted pale ale that drinks smooth, but offers a lot of rich flavor. Perfectly balanced and immenently quaffable.

Tap at Dive 75, W 75th St, New York. Pours slightly hazy gold to amber with a decent sized frothy/creamy whit to off-white head. Aroma is well hopped, with lots of tropical fruit and light citrus fruit, light caramel, flowers and a touch of vanilla. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Towards medium bodied, slightly oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. A very enjoyable APA.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is leafs, forest floor, rubber, pine needles, lawn, hops, soil, bark, grain. Taste is kind of strange mineraly, leafs, pine needles, soil, light malts, grain, paper, lawn, moss, citrus peel, hops. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

1 pt can from New Beer Distributors, shared with Barry & bierkonijn from De Bierkoning. Canned January or March 2017, hard to read. Hazy golden yellow color. White head with good retention. Aroma of citrussy hops. Retronasal it’s citrussy, bitterish. Flavor is rather bitter. Light bodied. Finish is firm earthy bitter. I expected a bit more, but nice nonetheless.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is dank and resinous hops. Flavor is again a dank hop with some neutral grain malt. Not much is left after the swallow. Pretty light all around but it is a pale ale and it is pretty spot on for the style. After having some pretty big hop bombs lately and then having a beer like this probably lowers the score unfairly, I’m used to lots of tropical fruit and bitterness. It does have a nice non bitter hop profile with clean malts.
