Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet toasted malt, strong wood, caramel, toffee, touch of candied dried fruits, syrupy with spicy notes. Flavour is fairly sweet and lightly bitter. Body is a little above medium. Nicely woody with rich toasted caramel malt.

Hazy medium amber colour, good frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, good lacing though. Aroma roasted malts, red fruits, caramel, wood, hint of smoke. Flavour medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, fruity, herbal, woody. Sweetbitter aftertaste, dusty and spicy notes. Medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, not completely convincing but okay.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur. De smaak is moutig gebrand en wat kruidig met een lichte rook toon.

(Draught at Café Derat, Utrecht, 26 July 2017) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, wood, dried fruit and a slight acidity. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of caramel, orange peel, toast, oak wood and a gentle citric bitterness. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a gentle wood character. Quite nice.

Dark blond colour with thin head. Aroma has lots of pleasantly sweet malt notes. A little boozy. Very malty and dry.
