beautiful deep fiery red color. Thin creamy white head. The nose is fairly boozy, sweet with whiskey, oak, cherries, oranges. Not super well integrated. The mouth shows a bit too much barrel aging and the booze from the barrel is fairly pronounced. The mouth is smooth, but again not super well integrated with cherries and oranges. Fairly malty. Low carbonation. Lingering sherry finish. Very warming. Need more time. As is it’s not bad and definitely interesting.

Tap at Bud. Lovely, clear, deep reddish brown. Tall, fine head. Nose of cherry, caramel-treacle, fudge, raisin, wood. Woody, light vanilla, rich and smooth and lovely. Great balance, not too sweet, not at all boozy, light hop flavor and bitterness. Very smooth and silky and full. Awesome.
