Tap at Gremlin. Aroma is malty, floury, pils like. Nice fruitiness, touch of apple, light sweetness. Hoppy marzen. Bit of citrus and grassiness. Like it.

Tap at the brewery. Crackery malt, light, crisp, lemony and grassy hops nose. Clean and crisp. Deep gold, light haze, low head. Biscuit and cracker malt flavor is perfectly balanced by crisp perle hops. Citrus, grass, relatively strong bitterness. Very nice rich malt balances so well. This is definitely a craft Oktoberfest, with way more hop flavor and bitterness than usual, but it really works well. None of that amber lager stuff like in the US these days, this is more like a hoppy modern German version. Really loved this one. Could have drank liters.

Tap at Gremlin. Light malty nose with a touch of caramel and grassy hops. Clean and malty on the palate. Easy drinking, but missing some of that Y. Market pizzazz. --- Beer merged from original tick of Barley Bouquet on 24 Oct 2016 at 01:31 - Score: 7. Original review text: Nice malty solid beer. Diggin it!
