Draft @ PDX Taproom, Shibuya; Caldera’s 20th Anniversary lineup. Pours lighter amber, a finger of white foam on top. Aroma is malty-caramel, fresh-citric at the same time. Getting only little grapefruit, not very pronounced. Body relatively strong, citric hops and some grapefruit peels in taste. Aftertaste somewhat grainy dry, some relatively measured lingering bitterness. Not bad.

Tap at Imazato. Dark orange, cloudy, with lace. Nose is grapefruit, biscuits, oranges. Not over the top with the fruit. Very biscuity flavor with a nice combination of fruit and citrus hops. Better than other grapefruit IPAs I have had in that this one only shows a little juice and doesn’t come off as an American radler.
