Bomber. Bretty nose, sourish and funky with some caramel. Dirty, bretty flavor, nice deep flavor of stone fruit, some caramel, dust. A dirty, bretty IPA that grew on me.

Murky dark amber color with small head. Strong aroma of bitter orange peel, a touch of mint, lightly funky. Good body strength; caramel flavor, with light residual sweetness; very strong bitterness with plenty of hop resins, almost minty; strong spicy yeast character. The final is earthy and dusty.
Overall, the elements of this beer clash to each other, as often happens to Belgian yeast meets American hops.
A good IPA, but the style is too dirty in my book.

On tap at Green Leaf, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Nose is light on the hops with light floral notes, orangey caramel malts, and some resin. Flavour is quite malt-heavy, just like the Bitter Leaf IPA, but not quite as sweet, with notes of resinous hops, orange rinds, and caramel malt backing. Finishes astringent and malty. Decent stuff.
