Keyaki. Caramel, light hoppiness. Light fruitiness. It's nice enough. Bit doughy and biscuity.

Firey red color. Big malty nose with cake, apricot and dried strawberry. The mouth is very chewy, lots of coffee cake, dry and hoppy. Nice depth. Good balance. Nice lingering bitter. Excellent.

Clear copper with little white creamy head. Aroma is plums and raisins, some dough and dried figs as well. Taste is malty sweetness and some chocolatey bitterness. Some carbonation induced sourness. Full body. Spicy finish. Not bad.

Fall Keyaki 2015. Slightly hazy copper with a nice cream colored head. Malty nose with some plum and raisin coming through. A little bit of grass and hay that really takes it to the next level. This is probably the first altbier I can say I have enjoyed. --- Beer merged from original tick of Yanagase Chronicle (柳ヶ瀬クロニクル) on 21 Sep 2015 at 12:59 - Score: 7

Tap at the Gifu Beer Matsuri 2015. Brown-orange color, cloudy. Meaty malt nose, bread, caramel, chocolate, cherries. Dirty, grass hop flavor, peppery, earthy finish. Good alt.
