Gravity cask at the Tornado Room, Berkeley, 29/01/16. Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is pine, light skunky hop trace, orange pith, grapefruit shreds. Taste comprises tangerines, toasted bread, red grapefruit, orange peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with pine needle and dankish hop bitterness. Solid IPA.

12fl.oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy, pale gold with a medium, long lasting, frothy, white head that laces. Citrus aroma of lemon, grapefruit, floral hops, grass and pine needles. Sweet, crisp flavour of lemon peel, grapefruit, pine needles and grass with a dry, bitter, resiny hop finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. Excellent.

Finally picked up a bottle of this from the local grocery store make-your-own-6er. Poured a clear golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was lots of nice floral notes, pleasant pine hop character, with a decent blast of citrus. Flavor was nicely balanced, not a malt bomb at all. Very tasty. Lots of tasty from what I presume is that hop oil.

0.35l Bottle from Biervana. Clear dark-golden color with white head that becomes a ring quickly. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit and resin, quite herbal as well. Taste starts off with a floral herbral kick, then the fruits come into play, more citrus and grapefruit there. A biscuity malt base cuts through as well. The bitterness builds up, and it ends quite bitter. Of course, the complementary residual sweetness is there as well, but the bitterness wins. It feels very bitter. Carbonation is rather low. Itβs got this chewy mouthfeel paired with a piney aftertaste that makes you smack your lips multiple times after swallowing. Impressive, Sierra Nevada, impressive! Especially since this bottle is already a few months old when it makes it to Europe. Would probably be a nice summer sipper.
