Distilled Hop Oil IPA

We harness the complex flavors of just-picked hops with Hop Hunter IPA using an all-new method of steam distilling wet hops before they even leave the fields. This revolutionary technique captures and intensifies the natural flavors, creating a unique and intensely aromatic beer. Our custom process gathers pure hop oil which, when combined with traditional whole-cone hops in the brew kettle, makes for an incredible IPA experience.

On tap at Brashland. Pours a clear orange gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is onion and pine. Medium mouth, grapefruit, pine, onion, resin finish, ok.

Ok tasty and refreshing ale. But hoped for some more hop power.
Hazy yellow golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing. Decent citric hoppy and fruity aroma with a fine intensity. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Smooth mild citric, some pine, mild fruity and herbal flavor.

Bottle. Very drinkable, but simple ipa. About what you expect with Sierra Nevada. Good beer

12 ounce bottle. Medium gold color topped by a moderate foamy white head. Fragrant spicy citrus hop aroma. Peach, tangerine and toasted malt. Flavor is bittersweet with grainy malt notes and citrus hops. Notes of grapefruit and black pepper. Slightly resiny hops in finish. God to the last drop.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy yellow with a lacing, white head. Very juicy and intense hop aroma. Medium body, an initial soft fruitiness on the palate but very soon a raw and unforgiving bitterness sets in that is a bit of a palate wrecker. Really brutal more than pleasant. 120116

Bottle from Vino Wines. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, orange pith and lemon jelly. Flamour of lime, aspirin and grapefruit. Meidum body wtih an oily texture. Soft fizz. A nice iPA, but I expected a more intense hop hit.

Bottle: Golden, almost clear, mid-sized and stable off-white head; moderate to solid dryish herbal and fruity nose, some grapefruity traces detectable; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and soft; dry lingering grapefruity finish, blended with traces of cough syrup and lemons, tartness present. Good, what else…
