Distilled Hop Oil IPA

We harness the complex flavors of just-picked hops with Hop Hunter IPA using an all-new method of steam distilling wet hops before they even leave the fields. This revolutionary technique captures and intensifies the natural flavors, creating a unique and intensely aromatic beer. Our custom process gathers pure hop oil which, when combined with traditional whole-cone hops in the brew kettle, makes for an incredible IPA experience.

Hop Hunter 6.2% Thin, frothy white head soon left a cover on a hazy golden body. Tropical fruits aroma. Medium body. Clean& crisp. Prickly down the throat. Dry on the aft. Very light. Bitter hoppy tastes of grapefruit, pith, lemon & pine. Good one but I’d love to taste this one fresher.

Bottle @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours hazy darkish straw with airy white head. Clear aromabof hops and citrus, with notes of malt and yeast. Bitter and citric flavour of C-hops, with notes of fruit and malt and estery touches. Oily hints. Bitter, hoppy aftertaste with grassy hints. Well-balanced and decent.

Purchased in a you-select six-pack. It has a medium yellow body and an almost white head. It smells of citrus and grass. But the taste is where it kicks in. A hop bomb first impression. That lingers and follows with some orange and lime. Nice bitterness. Attributes of an Imperial IPA. Sierra Nevada, congratulations.

Not quite the hop explosion I was expecting after reading about all those highfalutin brewing techniques, but a pretty good IPA nonetheless, brimming with citric fruitiness and bringing a prolonged bitter fade. Malts seem a bit lacking--the middle picks up a mildly annoying metallic tinge--but the lingering hop presence prevents this weirdness from growing too noticeable. Not my favorite Sierra Nevada IPA but it will work in a pinch.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Online Store, Earlsdon, Coventry, consumed at home whilst cooking Wild Mushroom Pilau and Dhaniya Keema, Friday 6th January 2017 Pours light lemony gold with a touch of haze, filmy white head. A little thin but decent hoppiness nonetheless, a touch dry. I get a touch of spice from the hops (hop oil used I note), solid if a tad underwhelming. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4 3.4

35cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! Clear golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, crystal malt, light citrus, floral. Flavour is medium sweet, crystal malt, caramel, some grapefruit and lemon, floral, decent bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Classic stuff, but not much going on.
