For an IPA to bear our hometown name, it better be potent. So we loaded it with our favorite American hops for a bitter punch. And with some over-the-top tropical fruit, citrus, pine and floral aromas and flavors, you’ve got one big Texas IPA, deserving of the Deep Ellum name.

Hazy and very crisp copper body with an amber glow and a thick three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of grass, citrus, resin and some light pine - notes of hop pellets as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Nice sweet citrus and grassy hoppiness with some grapefruit, hay and a large herbal element, all with some smooth malt that shows well. Aftertaste shows a little grass, a lot of sweetness, some hay, light cereal malt and a smooth fruit sweetness - noticeable pear and apple flavours - nice! Overall, a good IPA with a nice balance of malt and some smooth fruity and grassy flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Spec’s Liqour in Dallas, Texas on 11-November-2015 for US$2,62 sampled at home in Washington on 30-April-2016 when it was pretty noticeable that the can was about to explode!
