Keyaki. Aroma is malty, bit of caramel. Taste is interesting, quite dry, malty again, a touch of fruit there, mugicha. Very different. Light bitterness.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks Stas. Cloudy amber. Yeast, funky infection, a bit sweetish, sourish hint, malt, fruitiness, a bit of metal, bitterish finish, medium-bodied.

Draft - Caramel and dark plum. Clear amber with a nice white head. Like the nose and quite odd.

Tap at Yokohama Beer Fest. Reddish brown color. Nice, rich caramel malt nose. Grainy, bready, rich malt / rice. Good earthy hops bitterness goes along a nicely complex malt backbone. Can’t guess it’s the ancient black rice, but it works well.

On tape at Keyaki Spring 2015. Amber color with a small off-white head. Very grainy aroma with some piney hops that come out. Taste is very malt and grain forward. Bit bit of sweetness and spiciness on the palate. Fairly well-balanced with a rich finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Wild Rice Amber (古代米アンバー) on 16 Feb 2016 at 22:21
