Keg at Bishops Arms in Malmo. It pours black with a medium beige head. The aroma is rich, toasty, umami, liquorice, blackcurrant, herbal and spicy. The taste is dry, bitter, spicy, herbal, jaegermeister, toasty, liquorice, roasted malt, cocoa, brown bread and wood with a dry, toasty finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Pretty interesting take on a porter.

Borefts VIII. Day 2. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest carbonation. Mellow dark malts, some dark chocolate. Earthy coffee. Modest dark fruits. Dry finish. Standard stuff really but fine.

Bottle from Salt Horse. Black body with a thin beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of espresso and dark chocolate. Flavour of black coffee, blueberry and earthy hops. Thin to medium body with a smooth, sleek mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A bitter, powerfully flavoured beer. Huge coffee notes.

Sample at Borefts 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a round bubbly tan head. The aroma is coffee roasty malt. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a dry roasty ashtray palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with a twist of red and a light brown head. Nose is pure coffee. Medium body, carbonation is a little excessive, coffee and roast, clean without ashy accents. Dry finish. The carbonation bothers me a little. 081216

Black, beige head. Very roasted aroma, good dose of coffee. Coffee and milk chocolate flavour. Slightly sweet with low carb. Nice and quite drinkable.
