This is an India Session Ale, which means all the hoppy goodness of a legit IPA, but with less alcohol. Huge citrus and floral aromas greet the nose from the stacks of Citra and Cascade hops added toward the end of the boil and in the whirlpool. The flavour is extremely citrus forward with just a touch of light caramel malt, giving way to a mild, hoppy finish, coaxing yet another sip. In short, it’s a beer that bears repeating.

From bottle then in a glass. Cloudy. So, what’s all this IPA thing in a lighter ABV beer. Why would you want rude IPA in a light beer anyhow? WTF? All on style for an IPA except the buzz. Perhaps if you love IPA resin, mouth coating, bitter, beer with a big dull hop aroma. One nice thing about this IPA, none of that B/O perfumy olfactory. Well, at least it does have some slight cutting CO2.

12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered orange-tan body. Foamy, respectable off-white head. Some pleasant delicate tropical grapefruit tinges in the aroma. I wasn’t that impressed the first time I had it, but I am really digging it this time around, and think it would hold up quite well against All Day in a blind tasting. Lemony hop bite sticks with you. Solid.

On tap @ Summerfest. The lines for this beer were LONG indeeed. Pours a slightly hazy gold color with a thin foamy head. Light aromas of orange, tangerine, some grassy hops and some malt. Taste is dry & mineral-like with piney hops and citrus definitely showing their face. Very drinkable (9) with no lingering bitternes to speak of.
