This hyper-seasonal IPA is a Two Beers Brewing tradition not to be missed. A brewer’s road trip provides us with some of the first hops of the Yakima Valley hop harvest. The result is an intoxicatingly aromatic IPA that is new and exciting every year. Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Cascade, FRESH whole-cone Centennials

Deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, six or seven centimetre tall tan head - ridiculous! Aroma of light earthy and slightly floral hops, some light caramel and toffee and a hint of maltiness - fairly light. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hops up front with hints of pine, earth, flowers and a bit of toffee sweetness on the end. Aftertaste shows well with a hint of alcohol, a nice hoppy flavour that isn’t overly powerful and a good sweetness. Overall, a nice beer to try that probably was a bit hoppier when it first arrived here in Alaska! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Brown Jug in Anchorage, Alaska (Northern Lights Blvd) yesterday on 22-May-2013 for US$6.95 sampled in my hotel room here in Anchorage, Alaska on 23-May-2013.
