Phalanx IPA a peachy, juicy, robust 7.5% ABV IPA loaded up with (insanely expensive) Australian Summer hops. We balance the peach/apricot flavor & aroma from the Summer hops with small quantities of Horizon (for dankness) and Chinook (for citrus).

Bottle. Pours with a clear, somewhat darkish golden to copper hued body with a medium sized off-white head. Aromas are of lemon, pinesol, peach, dank hops, white tea, slightly waxy, low esters, mild malt. Flavors show very low bitterness (for "100IBU") which allows sweet malt flavors and perceived sweet fruity hop flavors to shine through. Still a mildly bitter balance. Mild lemon balm, stonefruit iced tea, floral, lightly dank, grapefruit. Malt flavors are crystal and lightly biscuity. Not bad, but definitely on the sweet side for my tastes.
