Phalanx IPA a peachy, juicy, robust 7.5% ABV IPA loaded up with (insanely expensive) Australian Summer hops. We balance the peach/apricot flavor & aroma from the Summer hops with small quantities of Horizon (for dankness) and Chinook (for citrus).

22oz bomber picked up at Valley Farms pours with a gold to copper body that has a slight inviting hop haziness and supporting a thin near white head of foam. The mild aroma offers up sweet candy like citrus hops, cantaloupe and tangerine gummy bears. The taste is hoppy and citrusy to start with virtually zero bitter hops and all flavor malt sweetened hoppy notes. Beneath the malt sweetness and soft citrus notes lurks a pleasing yet mild earthy tea like hoppiness. Overall this seems too sweet, too soft and too . . . well lacking in hop bitterness.

Tap at World Craft Beer Tasting 2014. Deep orange-amber color, very cloudy, fine head. Huge tropical fruit nose, peach and melon, some citrus, wheaty biscuit, nice balanced bitterness. Weird and good.

On tap at World Craft Beer Tasting. A deep honey amber color with a juicy orange citrusy hop bouquet. Medium bodied with a zesty sharp carbonation. Very interesting sweet dank pine flavor, really sweet syrupy with enough hops to cut through it and balanced it out. Nice stuff.

Hazy light Amber color. Frothy white head. Clean nose with nice pale mallets, cherries and apricots. The mouth is seamless, and very hop driven with an excellent malt backbone. Uber balanced. Very unique flavors like a fruit salad with pine notes. Excellent and love the uniqueness.

Bomber from Kings Liquor in Anaheim. Pours light copper with a white head. Aroma is tropically floral. Med body. Flavor is lightly sweet caramel with some very unusual floral hop - and maybe tropical fruit. Hoppy, but not all that bitter. Gets a little peach or apricot in the finish. Very pleasant ale.
