Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow - Uptown, 12/7/14

Aroma: The nose is rye bread and citrus hops, with plenty of smoked malts (cherry wood?)
Appearance: Pours in the glass a clear golden color with a sheeting white head and heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes much the same, smoked wood forward, rye, and with a balancing citrus bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, with a smooth, clean mouthfeel, and a lightly dry, smoky finish
Overall Impression: I actually thought this was a really tasty. This is another beer from Three Heads that is well made and does what it is trying to do. I have to believe that, with this beer, they have totally made the beer they were trying to make.

Draught at MacGregors. Light to medium smoke nose, orange, grapefruit, grains. Clear, deep golden color with a low head. Strange but interesting smoky flavor, grapefruit, cherry, strong bitterness. Rye comes through more as it warms. A bit spicy. Solid, lovely stuff and very original.
