pours clear yellow with white head and little lacing. nose is malts, straw, corn. taste herbal, bittersweet, somewhat acidic. strong carbonation. at least it has got some hop bitterness (or hops extract bitterness, whatever) which you expect from a pilsener.

On tap in Leipzig. Muffig-würziger Antrunk. Sehr muffig im Hauptteil, keine Frische oder florale Noten. Schade. Würzig-herber Nachgeschmack, muffig.

Classic German Pilsener, with a crisp, clean and pure malt character and dry, pretty strongly bitter hop finish, typical for the northern German substyle. One of the better examples of this style I had so far.

Clear medium golden colour, two finger foamy white head, reduces slowly to a foamy layer, no lacing. Sweet malty aroma, grass, light yeasty. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, bit prickly on the tongue, mild dry bitter finish, getting stronger in the aftertaste.

Pours a clear golden color topped with white frothy head. The basic malty aroma is very mild. The body is balanced, slightly bitter finish. A decent pilsener.
