Bottle. Unclear dark brown body with a small, lacing beige head. Distinct aroma of dark, medium roasted malt, grassy hops and light fruit. Flavor is dark roasted malt with grassy bitterness, some fruit and a hint of cooked vegetables. Medium body and average aftertaste. Decent but a bit ordinary and a little negative feelings for the vegetable part.

Can @ Pizza Punks. Black with a large, foamy off white head. Chocolate aroma, flavour is smoky roasted malt, chocolate, sweet.

£1 at M&S Brooklands. Coffee and malts. Sour berry edge. Dark and glossy, brown tints. Thick frothy beige head. Starts off quite smooth before the bitterness peaks. Quinine kick to the taste which mirrors the aroma. Medium bodied. Slick,.a.certain creaminess. Soft carb. Dry finish. A very good hoppy porter.

Poured from the tap. Very dark brown with beige head. Lots of dark chocolate with some mild roast malt and light grass hops. Interesting blend, decent, but not complete harmony. Good nonet-the-less. The bar (Roundhouse Hong Kong) wrongly advertises it as a Black IPA which I disagree with.

Svart med høyt beige skum. Lukter animalsk, lakris, krutt og kaffe. Middels fylde. Søtlig lakris, mørke frukter, noe kandis og mørke frukter.

Il gusto al naso trova liquirizia, orzo tostato e caffè. L'intensità olfattiva è elegante e lunga. Il cappello color marrone chiaro di schiuma abbondante ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante. Il dolce è medio e l'amaro è medio: non si surclassano. L'intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di birra beverina. Il finale è dissetante e complesso. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca riporta sentori di cereali, cioccolato, liquirizia, frutta secca, agrumi e marron glacé.
