Süßer, leicht oxidierter Malzantrunk. Die Süße bleibt und wird noch etwas stärker, etwas schokoladig, dann trocken. Geringe Intensität, auch hier noch oxidiert. OK. 9/10/8/8/9/8

Vintage bottle form Joris. Drink by 2011. First whiff is wonderful raisins and brown sugar with chocolate. Then there is a bit of coffee grounds and cooked cabbage, but the raisins dominate. Dark brown, almost black, with orange tints and lace that sticks nicely to the glass. Sweet chocolate and raisin flavor, nothing off here, just a bit metallic, and the sweetness a bit candy-like. Somewhat burnt, slightly raunchy, licorice and metal finish. Somewhat thin body, but oily and silky with age. This has aged well, I would say, though might be past peak. Not a great or complex bock, but an enjoyable one, at this stage at least.

Bottle shared by Peter Bognar. Aroma fruity, caramel, roasted. Clear dark brown colour, short lasting head. Taste is surprisingly good. Plums, fruity, caramel, light alcohol. Easily drinkable. Long roasted finish.

Small amberish cream-coloured head, constantly fed from deep ruby-brownish beer. Nose is a combination of wood and chocolate wafers, bit of zoete drop . Liquorice, drop and a wry, woody background, influencing the MF as well. Some dark chocolate, both sweet and bitter(ish). Very slick, full mouthfeel, discreet alcoholwarming. Remarkable peppery aftertaste. Not meritless Bock, if on the (to be expected) sweet side. Many thanks to Peter V.!

Bottled from grocery shop. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma, fresh fruity aroma, with hints of honey. Taste, sweet malty, continues with coffee, long sweet finish. Alcohol is nicely hidden. Not bad.
