Rebellion was created by Bear Republic’s brewers as a single hop pale ale to showcase the characteristics of new hop varietals and old favorites. Always brewed with the same American and English malts, the soft malt character allows the unique flavor and aroma of the hop to shine.

A more subtle cousin of the newly released Azacca, this experimental hop from the American Dwarf Hop Association breeding program has a full bitterness with hints of cedar, citrus, and slight tropical notes.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark gold with a creamy white head. Fruity aroma. Med body. Flavor is mixed fruit, caramel, bitter. Sort of light stone fruit and citrus. Very nice.

Draft - Light nose of grass and citrus. Clear gold with a decent white head. Slight, just like the nose. Very light, like the others more of a pale ale than IPA.

On tap at Bear Republic, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out notes of cedar, herbal hops, and light fruitiness. Flavour is similar, bringing out notes of cedar upfront, followed by some herbal hoppy notes, and just enough toasted dry biscuity malt. Very well-balanced and highly drinkable pale ale.

Draught at Antenna. Orange-gold with a fine head. Dry, minerally nose with grass, a touch of caramel. Thin, light body, bready malt, nice grassy hop, but a bit thin and boring. Ok.
