At Yanaka Beer Hall as Yanaka Beer Hall Original Lager. I'm guessing it's the same. Nice refreshing first beer. Quite malty for a lager, caramel and toffee, light grassy hop bite. Nothing out of this world but a nice beer none the less.

Bottle. A new one, it seems, and not clear how it is different from their two pilsners. Grassy hop nose, biscuity pilsner malts, rather grainy. Brilliant gold, medium head. Malty, grainy, with some fruit, citrus, hay. Somewhat like a helles. Light hop flavor, but it is there, gentle but persistent peppery bitterness in the finish. Good malt backbone. Nice lager.
