Very similar to the berliner, tart, funky, touches of smoke with lots of caramels, and dark ripe fruits. Mouthfeel is full, carb is a little low. Finish is quite tart, and the caramel, and toffee fade into an almost sour cherry like finish.

Bottle at tasting. Thanks Tim. Clear red brown colour, small golden bubbly head. Aroma bit faint, sugary, bit fruity, little bit of stink. Taste sweet and sour oud bruin like. Bit sparkly. Nice and weird. Nice sourness.

Bottle. Nose or orange, lemon, chocolate, crap. Thin-looking brownish-red. Flavor is milky, funky, with caramel, chocolate, lactic but with low sourness, just a light lemony tang. Refreshing and strange. The dark malt and sour combo make a weird but interesting marriage.

Dark brown color, dark cherries, raspberries with the smell of wood after rain. The body is very light with lemon, wood, caramel malt, light and refreshing. Totally different than any other beer I’ve tried. Very enjoyable. Mildly tart with lingering woody finish. Unique and interesting. Great.

Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy brown color, with almost no head. The aroma is nice, mild sourness, chocolate, wood, campfire; a good balance. The flavor is a bit sour, some roasted malt, some bread dough; the body is medium-thin, the mouthfeel is dry; drier final, a bit lemony too.

Smells sweet and malty, alittle like raspberry. Pours a brownish red. Some serious sourness in the taste, again in the raspberry sense without the sweetness. Mouth puckering almost. A little bit of an odd coolness in aftertaaste as well. On tap at brewpub.
