Big thank you to kappldav123 for this dusty 0,33 l bottle. Bottling date 18.02.2016. Nearly black in the glass, small short living beige head. Intensive dark fruity aroma, malt and vanilla. Taste starts malty with dark fruity elements, increasing dry and tart. Choco and vanilla in the background. Smooth and slick, complex. Little bit alcoholic. No real carbonation. Very interesting well aged stuff.

31/XII/22 - 33cl bottle from a trade or from De Struise shop, can’t remember, I’ve had this bottle since forever, shared @ ElManana’s place, BB: 17/II/21 (2022-1788)

Clear dark purple brown to almost black beer, small aery irregular creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty roasted, some soy sauce, a bit oxidized, little sourish impression, some red currants, a bit funky, strawberry jam. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, some tannins, a bit oxidized, some roasted notes, pretty vinous. Aftertaste: vanilla, red wine, bitter, wood, tannins, some dark chocolate, gentle acidity, sweet touch, more vanilla still, red currants, strawberry jam, more oxidative notes. Nice one!

Bottle, Aardnon 2009 bottled 18 feb 2016 bb 17 feb 2021. Aged for 7 years on Margaux barrels. Color: Almost black, thin beige head. Aroma: Sweet and tart notes, red wine, caramel, dark fruit Very nice. Taste: .Very complex mix of red wine, dark fruit, dark cherries, caramel (fudge), oak wood, vanilla hints. Moderate to over moderate sweet, light vinuous tartness. Just over medium body, low carbonation. Boozy hints. Great slow sipper. Was expecting overwhelming red wine after seven years of BA but it's very well balanced. Nothing wrong with this one although it's more than a year over BB date. Very thankful I still got a bottle of this great beer after so many years.

33cl fles. Donker roodbruin bier, dunne kraag. Balsamicoazijn en sojasaus in een fijne medium-zure blend, veel hout. Goed maar niet heel spannend.

Taste is sweet-and-sour, chocolately dark malty and fruity, slightly vinous, notes of chocolate sauce, couverture, cherry, morello, plum, dark berries, hints of blue grapes, some fruit acid. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally sticky palate, soft carbonation. Intense chocolate notes, very well balanced, highly drinkable - very good.

2009 bottle. Deep dark brown color. Caramel, a hint of roast and malt syrup in the vinous aroma. Malty sweet, moderately sour, vinous flavor. Red wine, remains of roast and licorice. Amazing complexity. Low on carbon. Worth the sky-high price tag.

Hazy dark brown. Aroma is red wine, dark malt, gooseberry, cherry, some nuts, very complex. Taste is dark malt, melasses, sour stuff, some red wine, a bit leathery. Intensely complex but also balanced. Very nice.

Bottle, many thanks JefVerstraete! Simple black text on white background label: Cask strength blend in barrel limited edition medium carbonation - Barrel 7 years. 1/3 am + 2/3 pr; bottled 18/02/2016. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is red wine, leather, chocolate, dark malts, some oxidative wine, sherry - port, very crazy. Taste is cherries, leather, tobacco, port, earthy, lightly tart finish with a good amount of tannins. Very balanced sourness, super strong red wine character, works out great! Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Absolutely unique, absolutely great!
