Live barrel at the barrel house. Pours murky dark mahogany with little head. Aroma is cherry/bourbon/vanilla. Full bodied. Flavor is sour cherry with subdued bourbon/vanilla/oak. With time the sour mellows, the cherry subsides a bit, and the b/v increases. Complex and tasty beer.

Live from the barrel at the Barrel House - turbid dark red - nose of spicy cinnamon, cherries, oak, vanilla, bourbon - semi-tart flavor - cherry skins, leather, dry oaky tannins - moderate vanilla and light bourbon late - cinnamon and other spices - alcohol is not evident at all - warm cinnamon finish - probably the highlight of my stay here.
