Point the Way IPA is our ode to the hop-crazed patrons of Los Angeles. Its light malt body elevates the citrus zest, tropical and pine notes contributed by a generous hop dosing. At 5.9%, this sessionable West-Coast IPA finishes dry for optimal repeatability.

DIFFERENCE FROM ORIGINAL RECIPE:
To balance these aggressive hop profiles we’ve switched to English specialty malts, which produce a lighter hue and replace the caramel notes with a very slight toast. These changes will bump the ABV from 5.2% to 5.9%, maintaining Point the Way's low-ABV status while optimizing hop flavor and complexity.

Can pour. Appearance is hazy gold with nice sparkle, 2-finger width foamy white head with good retention and nice leggy lacing. Aroma is tons of tropical fruit and citrus, light pine and grapefruit. Taste is sweet fruits and citrus as in aroma with late piney and grapefruit bitterness. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter as with the taste. Overall, this is a real thirst quencher with nice attributes all around.

Pours quite clear golden. Foam rises highland comes down after a while. Aroma is super fresh and crisp. Resins and herbal hops, some tropical fruits. Taste is refreshing, crisp and hoppy. Nice refreshing beer but the finish gets a bit messy and falls apart for me. Rough bitterness and even booze. Drink this beer quickly before it warms up.

Hazy dirty golden brown color. Big frothy white head. Very clean dry nose. Tropical fruit and acetone with some biscuity character. The mouth is a bit lifeless and not as balanced. Some bitterness in the end but overall disappointing.

4oz from flight at the brewery. Poured a clear, yellow orange color with a small white head. Aroma was crisp, tasty hops. Earthy notes, light floral character. Decent, but not as exciting as some of their other offerings.

22nd May 2016, two 16oz cans at the Angles Stadium in Anaheim as they beat Baltimore O’s 10-2. Assume it was golden, no head to be seen either, as I drank the cans straight. Decent hop bite, both piney and mildly citrusy: I thought this OK, which is why I had two of them ($11.00 each).

Golden with a white head - Malt and hops in the aroma - Good malt to support a nice hop profile that has some fruity tones and bitterness - The fruity hop and bitterness goes into the finish - This was nice

Can. Cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma of pineapple, biscuit, peach bubblegum. Bland pale malt, tropical and stone fruit, some peppery and leafy notes. Neither dry nor bitter enough to quite clean up the sweetness.

From a 355ml can on 26/5/2015. Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a bright white medium head. Has a pleasant troical/stone fruit hop aroma. Flavour wise, there’s lots of peach, apricot and passionfruit. There’s not a lot of malt evident, and it’s not particularly sweet, with the grapefruity bitterness ultimately holding sway. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Solid.

Hazy golden color with small head. Dry, pungent, with a good crackery malt backbone, and very good quality hopping: in other words a deeply satisfying IPA. The hops are fairly resiny, and with citrus fruit component too; there are fruitier IPAs out there, this one is more appropriate for a sunny afternoon.
