Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown with lace. Amateurish, funky nose of caramel. simple. A bit hairy caramel flavor. Fruity and sweet. Not much going on here. Disappointing.

Draft. A nut-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of corn. The flavor is skunky with strong notes of caramel and light notes of alcohol.

On cask at the brewpub. Pours with a large, frothy, off-white head with a hazed orange body. Aroma is soft, fruity, light spice, raisins, dates and sarsaparilla. Taste is bitter with a lot of tannins extracted from the grain, molasses, alcohol. Medium carbonation for a cask beer.

On tap. Pours a clear amber golden with a creamy beige head. Sweetish aroma of nuts, caramel and alcohol. Quite full-bodied, nuts, sherry, wood and alcohol. Rather alcoholic finish. An unusual brew. 060709
