pitch black color. Nose is kinda weak with faint hints of dark chocolate. Mouth is full bodied, moderately estery, some liquorice, roastiness. Rounded, but not tons of depth. Moderate roasty finish. Good, but nothing too exceptional.

Draught at Tadg’s. Aroma of chocolate, spice, raisins. Dry, dark chocolate flavor, apples. Nice chocolate character but dry and less than overwhelming. Very drinkable, smooth finish, though rather light in body and somewhat thin in the end. Tasty, but it didn’t live up to the expectations that the name gave me. Slightly spicy Belgian yeast character but not much.
