Tap at Hachi. Light golden amber colour, creamy white head. Aroma is boozy, bit of plastic, malty touch. Quite nice though. Taste is quite creamy, with bit of boozy sweetness hiding in the background. Further down booze rears its head. Not much bitterness at all but pretty easy drinking. Sweetness is quite candy like. Doesn't seem very lager like or cascade like, but it's better than some of their other beers for me.

330 ml bottle from a supermarket in Utsunomiya. Pours goldern clear with a white, quickly dissipating head. Aroma has some fresh herbal hop character but as I sniff longer, alcohol comes through. Right, the percentage should be 7,5%. Some bread and muesli. Taste comes in smooth and starts to build up. Somehow there is not malt character and hop bitterness feels somewhat robust, lacking elegance. Some fruity sweetness, peaches, is shining through that bitter wall for a second. Aftertaste is just some dry bitterness. Overall OK but could be further polished to be better,

Bottle from the Supermarket in Utsunomiya. Very rich, malty aroma, with biscuit, caramel, a bit of butter, baked apples, cherry, a tiny bit of citrus. Bright amber, clear, with a fine, low, head. Sweet and alcoholic, hot, but the booze blends with a rather hoppy finish giving a mixed burn. Rich amber malts, biscuit, some caramel, grains. Interesting heller bock flavor. Not much hop flavor, but better bitterness than usual. Just a bit too rough, though, and the malt character is lacking for such a big beer. Not much cascade to speak of.
