330 ml bottle from South Africa. Ingredients: Appel cider, Fruit & Maize Sugar. Cider starts mild-watery. First it tastes like cider, a bit light, but fruity and ok. But then it changes to a undefinable bitter-strange taste that had something from whomit. not nice aftertaste... --> could have been nice, but ends ugly... --> 6/10/4/5

Medium head with medium duration. Color is pale yellow. Aroma and taste are sweet apples, fruit sugar and is a little watery. Medium carbonation.

Still has a good strong dry aroma in spite of being "light". Looks like a real strong cider, almost identical to the regular savanna. No taste was compromised, it is great for sipping and doesn’t taste watery at all.

(Bottle 34 cl) Clear golden with no head. Lightly tart but discreet apple aroma. Light in body, some acidity and an artificial sweetness, but not many traces of apples. Lightly tart finish. Actually quite quaffable without the same amount of off flavours as the original Savanna, probably because this doesn’t have many flavours at all.... 110508

Bottled. Clear pale golden, ultra-brief head. Citric nose. Dryish and citric but thin and metallic. Some refreshing green apples, some candy. Light and quite refreshing, but a bit lifeless and thin.

2004 bottle sampled in post good-beer swill tasting with Muzzlehatch and Tiggmtl. It’s becoming a frighteningly enjoyable tradition. I probably shouldnt rate this since I wasnt drinking it the "proper" way, as the website indicates (corona-style). Oh well. Pours a lucid yellow, clear and bubbly with a ring of white foam that is quickly gone. Aroma of blue cheese, dirty sea-water, sweet apples. The blue cheese is so distinctive, it beckons you to like it, and I’m almost thrown to the sirens, but then I snap out of it and realize this shit for what it is. Insipidly sweet flavor, spoiled, sugary, musty funk and sweat. Fair carbonation can not help this much sugary garbage. Bordering on alcopop. These "brewers" should be ashamed.
