This strong ale has a deep amber colour, and is a premium, full bodied English style ale with that extra bit of alcohol content for more character and depth. Farsons Double Red Strong Ale is brewed with high quality malt and traditional English hops. Its strong, fresh character, with a pleasant hoppy bitterness, is balanced by some malty sweetness. Farsons Double Red is a well-balanced, satisfying British style amber ale with a snappy hop finish.

Süßlich würziger, wenig herber Beginn. Noten von Karamell, die Herbe steigt ein wenig an. Karamellig-hellmalziger Mittelteil, dann etwas muffig-getreidig. Okay. 10/8/9/8/7/8

Gift bottle, thanks sis. Smell of apple, malt, some caramel. Deep copper colour, high beige head. Aroma of malt, some overripe fruit, hops, notes of grass. Finishes with earth. Lively carbon, slightly oily palate. Bitter with a faint sweetness.

F: big, light tan, average lasting. C: red amber to red copper, clear. A: malt, caramel, hint of toast, hint of buttery, some floral. T: malt, caramel, hint of fruity, candy, medium body, medium carbonation, some decent bitterness on the palate, again nothing very special but here on the small island from better ones, 330ml bottle from Chain foodstore in the Point Shopping Mall in Sliema.

Clear amber colour, minimal creamy off-white head; aroma and taste of linden honey, hints of grape, biscuit and bready notes; no balance of the syrupy sweetness from hop side, but, anyway, it’s somehow still enjoyable
