341 ml shared bottle, ABV is 5%. Reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate aroma of grain, malts and some caramel. Soft flavour, some caramel but not very sweet, very little bitterness. Nice enough to drink, but not very exciting.

Bouteille 341ml. de couleur cuivrée et claire. Nez malté de caramel doux avec des notes de pain grillé, de biscuit et de houblon floral. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes huileuses. Goût de grains malt pâle sucrés lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi rapidement d’un goût de caramel doux aux faibles notes rôties ainsi qu’un léger goût de pain et de biscuit puis en finale l’on retrouve un goût légèrement amer et aux notes sèches de houblon floral aux notes herbeuses ainsi que de faibles traces de noix. Post-goût moyen, légèrement amer de houblon floral avec des petites notes asséchantes de noix.

33cl bottle, BB 02-2013, bought at the Brussels xmas market. Ambrée-rousse, col fin beige. Arôme est agréablement malté entre note de caramel, toffee et grillé, léger pâle et un houblon restant faible. Palais est malté et grillé gardant une petite base axée sur le malt Ce dernier est dans un style cara-pils-anglais, grains avec un fini doux de beurre Au final, cette bière garde une fine note d’influence de la version stout tout en étant un cran en retrait. Le houblon reste présent mais à l’ombre du malt procurant une fine pointe d’amertume

A little bitterness, a little rusty taste. Seems like a typical big market red. Just colour it amber or red and call it an amber. Some chemical astringence as well, but not much beyond that. Bottle.

Originally rated August 2005. Pours a deep amber colour with a nice creamy foam head. Retention is decent and lacing is minimal. Good mixture of roasted malt and nuts for the nose. The nuts come through in the flavour as well, with a mild bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is crisp. Pretty decent Irish red style.

draft - Pours clear deep copper with an off-white, lingering head. It has an extremely mild aroma. The flavor is sweet and grainy with a hint of caramel. It’s bubbly, light, and watery on the palate with a mild hop finish. It looks good and then it’s downhill from there.

Malts and caramel on the nose, both in small quantities. Boring amber colour, small head on top. Flavour is a tart nothingness with just a few minor malt hints. Dry finish. No flavour to speak of makes this beer very drinkable, and completely boring.

An amber beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet spicy combined with notes of strawberries. The flavor is also sweet with primary notes of berries - but here it is raspberries, on a nutty background, which also gives it a nutty end.

2005 bottle at the Iguana Cafe in Montreal, 6/5/05 with Muzzlehatch and tiggmtl. Pour is a caramelly-auburn, dark beige tints on the sides, with a small off-white head that sits at cover, providing little to no lacing. Aroma has hazelnuts, toasted grains and light orange rind. Also some dry, plasticy/stale bread notes, slightly sourish. Flavor begins with a sweet caramel malt, hints of dry raisins and cherries from the yeast. Bits of astringency from the toasted grains. Problems include a stale bread flavor, hints of syrupy sugar and a body that is too light and carbonation too peppery to sustain much interest from yours truly.
