Bottle from Coop, Switzerland
Hazy dark amber color. Very light aroma; caramel flavor, a bit stale, with no qualities, medium-low bitterness, some alcohol. Boring.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy deeo orange colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, yeast, some fudge, mild notes of fruits. Flavour is strong bready and caramelly malts. along with slight fruity and sweet grassyness as well.

Bottled (BB12/2009) Hazy orange color, small off-white head. Candy sugar, orange peels and cardboard in the nose. Medium-bodied, even a bit on thin side. Sweet jelly at first then hoppy bite and banana with some candy sugar. Very strange bock. Somehow Dutch like, also lemonady feeling here.

bottle from Coop Kreuzlingen. Dark amber-brown colour, mid-sized head. Some floaties visible. Full-bodied, intensively malty with hints of caramel and shy hints of cocoa powder and chocolate. Well-balanced Dunkler Bock!

Bottle, 6.5%. Peppery and slightly caramelly aroma. Clear red amber colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is quite sweet. It has some dark sugar, slightly burnt. There is some malt syrup flavour to it as well. The burnt sugar gives off a slightly unpleasant bitterness, other than that, the beer is OK.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Pale copper colour, rich firm head. Dusty vinous nose. Sweetish and fruity, medium bodied with caramelly malt. Low bitterness. The flavour is well short.

Bottle. Dark ambler body below off-white, mostly dminishing head. Nose is lightly fruity with notes of banana and raisins. Notes of grain and caramel, too. The flavor is moderately sweet and very lightly bitter. Medium to full body with sticky texture. Slightly tart finish. Moderate carbonation. Not a lot going on in this beer that lacks an above-average malt presence. Just OK and certainly drinkable. But there are better dunkler bocks available. Thanks to Andy for bringing this beer from the brewery.
