Bottle shared thanks to jmgreenuk. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is big roasty with coffee, dark chocolate and licorice. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with light carbonation.

50cl bottle, bottled on Dec 2013. Black color, lacing brown head. Looks great. Roasted malty aroma with strong coffee and licorice. Flavor has coffee, roastedness, hints of anise, licorice. Enjoyed the first 1dl really cold, and got some huge load of salty licorice in the dry finish. It just grew bigger and bigger. Mellowed out a little as the beer got warmer. Full bodied, excellent stuff. Great work again from this brewery!

Bottle from Vino Wines. Black body with a huge tan head that holds well. Excellent lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, ash, coffee and cream. Flavour of chocolate, dark fruit and a hint of salt. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A wonderfully rich, flavoursome Stout, although itโs bit thinner than described on the bottle.

Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Nearly black. Thickish, tan, lasting head. High cocoa solids chocolate. Coffee grinds. Liquorice. Dark, unripe fruit. Taste has fleeting sweetness, followed by a burnt, tarry, roast bitterness. Smooth, almost creamy palate. Ash dryness on the finish, as well as a hoppy, tarry bitterness. Really good.

Bottle, 5.4%. Good roasted aroma, coffee and a little smoke. Black colour. Big stable brown head. The flavour is quite roasted and quite bitter. A good piney hoppiness to give a little bite and to counter the creamy and chocolatey roastedness. Very flavourful, especially considering the ABV.

Bottle. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of roast, malt, caramel, and coffee. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of coffee beans, malt, and liquorice. Lingering, bitter aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Very pleasant, indeed.

Keg at Friends of Ham, Leeds, Saturday 15th February 2014. Pours black with a light beige head. Plenty of coffee on the nose and also lots of creamy milky chocolate. Soft in mouth the chocolate and coffee on the nose come through well in the mouth a tangy sour edge adds an interesting element and a hoppy finish also. Its nice but maybe doesnโt quite live up to the promise shown on the nose. A8 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.8
