Courtesy of Dak. Pours semi clear gold with copper hues and white head. The aroma is smooth tartness, vinegar, brown sugar and yeasty spiciness going pretty well together. This tastes as if I’ve had it before as I get vinegar, apple juice and lime with funky musty yeast floating around too. Maybe this is my first try at this one. It is crisp and refreshing after nearly nine years. This hits the sourness where I tend to enjoy it with added depth and interest as there is musky funk to go along with the tartness.

(3/9/08) Bottle at De Heeren van Liedekercke in Denderleeuw. Deep hazy orange with a quickly-diminishing white head. Lovely aroma with a lot of barnyard and citrus. A sour citric flavor with some funky brettanomyces character, and some bitter touches joining in later. Medium-bodied with not as much carbonation as in the Blauw. A fantastic beer. 8/4/9/5/17=4.3
