Draft at The Wateringhole, Amsterdam. Near black with a tan head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruity hops, chocolate, malt and caramel. Flavour is above moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at home, 25th November 16. Pours black, thin white rim head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate milkshake, bitter chocolate, cocoa, coffee. Lingering bitter sweet finish. Good.

Probier Bamberg 2016. Dark brown, creamy brown head. Dry fruity, slightly dirty malt. Full, dry mouthfeel. Ground coffee, aromatic hop blanket for comfort. Extreme - fun!

Black with little beige head. Aroma is forest, grass, sweat socks, cactus. Taste is resin bitterness with lots of chocolate sweetness. Creamy and full bodied. Good.

0,1l from tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien shared with a Saeglopur. almost black color, small coffee-colored head. smells of spices, bit acidic, coffee, licorice, earthy. overall nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of caramel, spices, earthy notes, licorice, some herbal notes. finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter with notes of licorice, earthy notes and some coffee. rather heavy but still quite enjoyable beer.

Dark brown body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of herbs, coffee, cocoa, some chocolate, toast, grass, grapefruit.
Taste follows this, but less herbal.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes roasty-bitter, medium dry, wooden, with coffee, cocoa powder, liquorice, some grass, some herbs.
Nice one. The nose is a bit too herbal for me, while the taste is nice, smooth, pretty roasty. Not completely balanced maybe, the herbal notes get stronger again towards the finish. Solid, but nothing special.

Bottle. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, earthy hops, urinal cake, ash. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, slightly spicy, rather sticky, but nice juicy hops, slightly bitter hoppy finish. The taste is much better than the aroma. Silky mouthfeel, but a bit too light if you ask me, and it’s a bit too sweet. Still a very nice brew
