Tap at CBM Jimbocho. Hmm, smoked cheese. Not what I was expecting! Light berries in the aroma and strong herbal element, cloves too maybe. Smells like a US saison. Taste of smoked cheese is only the initial impression. Afterwards it becomes more grainy, but probably just wheaty. Finish is strawberry, cream and pepper. Not sure, bit of a mixed bag, but better than some other saisons I've had recently.

Tap at CBM JImbocho. Passion fruit, apricot and yeast with a hints of clove and cardamom. Watery mouthfeel with a fair amount of carbonation: like an orangina. Slightly sour and sweet on the palate. The wheat gives it a chewiness. Wild strawberry and slight banana flavor is evident as it settles into room temperature. Flavor is a little lighter than the initial aroma, but still a really solid saison. Nice finish with a bit of spice and pepper present.
