75cl bottle from BrĂĽssel Airport. Pours clear deep red with a pink head. Fruity aroma with lots of cherry, hints of almond and malt and some wooden notes. Sweet and fruity with strong cherry flavour and a moderate acidity. Tasty and refreshing kriek. Quite balanced, but a bit on the sweet side.

Bottle from Tanakaya. 2015 bottle in a flashy new updated design without the paper. Pours a deep crimson with a nice pink head that lasts throughout. Aromas of cherry, cranberry, almond with some woody and grassy notes as well. Very nice active carbonation. Taste is more of the same with some light tartness. A Belgian classic who’s tartness isn’t in your face and is balanced with a fair amount of sweetness. A good introduction to Belgian sours, although not really sour to be honest.
