Draft at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of malt, grain, caramel and a light smoke aspect. Flavour is over moderate sweet with the oak coming out in the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Murky brown, has a Liefmans-esque fruity tartness w subtle chocolatey malts. Acetic, slightly astringent bit with stone fruit bitterness, vinous notes, and other fun stuff. Serious, proper Belgian sour.

Draught in Rome during a visit in mid December. Reminded me of a Rodenbach in many ways: colour for a start, hazy though, then the aroma and taste. Maybe a little more sour, but it wasn’t too sour, even for me (I’m not really a sour puss sort of drinker). Pleased I had it, but one was enough.

Opaque dark ruby color, good creamy beige head, lace. Tart, fruity, earthy aroma. Medium-bodied. Fruity-berryish, tartish flavor but also some cellary notes. Tart cherry aftertaste. Decent.

[10/18/13] Draught at Eurhop Beer Festival 2013 in Rome. Deep amber color with a beige-orange head. Oaky aroma, somewhat sour, with some fruitiness and some cooked vegetables. Sour and very oaky flavor, funky, a bit lemony, with a slightly astringent finish. Medium-bodied.
