Can, E$. Near black. Just a whisp of a head. Rich roasty nose with light nuttiness, caf cubano and just a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it’s got some chocolate, some coffee, and mellow vanilla. I like it - was this one of the earliest dessert stouts?

16 ounce can. Jet black pour is topped by a small bubbly dark tan head. Intense roasted malt aroma. Notes of chocolate and dark coffee. Rich roasted malt flavor. Notes of chocolate, coffee and nuts. Oily mouthfeel. Sweet dark malt with vanilla notes in middle. Bittersweet chocolate and warming alcohol notes in finish. Quite tasty.

1 pint can, canned 11/15/17.
Dark brown to black, oily body, with a big, dense, creamy, a bit lacing, coffee-colored head.
Aroma of cocoa powder, dark chocolate, tiramisu, biscuit, coffee, vanilla, some nuts.
Tastes similar, with some boozy chocolate liqueur.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes warm, medium roasty, medium sweet, with dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, some liquorice, some nuts.

Really tasty. More on the sweet side of course, but really well balanced, with enough roastiness. Alcohol is noticeable, while well included, providing a comfortable warmth. Lovely, big dessert sipper.

On tap. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is like cake: dark chocolate, plum, toffee, walnut, some coffee. Alcohol starts to dusturb after some time. Creamy texture. Good, but only in small size.
