Small tan head, receding over virtually black beer with brown lining. Deep chocolate nose, some coffee, whiff of benzene, dark grains/malts. Dark chocolate pralines. Even more outspoken chocolate flavour, dark chocolate ganache, bit of dark red/purple fruit. Quite sweet, generally. Very chewy, slightly buttery feel, full bodied, medium carbonation at best. Quite good, but not exactly novel. 7/4/8/4/17

Vom Fass im Stone Brewing Berlin 2017-04 getrunken. Erst kommt für kurze Zeit ein Mokkanote auf, doch dann dominieren fette Schokoladenaromen dieses geile Porter. Vom Fass im Muted Horn Berlin 2017-08 getrunken. Wieder mal so ein fettes Evil Twin Imperial Stout - typisch fett. Und hier ist der Name "Doughnut" auch Programm. Als ob man ein flüssigen Schokoladen-Doughnut trinkt. Einfach geiles Zeug.

Tap. Tasted on the 11/05/2017 at Olbaren (Copenhagen). Dark brown colour with a minimal tan brown head. Aroma of chocolate, sweet roasted malts and coffee. Taste is strong coffee and black cocoa with an alcoholic finish. Aftertaste is intense alcohol and strong bitter. Next one please!

Fra flaske på Mi2 Cardinal april-17: brunsvart med ok skum. Myk dessertaroma og -smak med stor fylde og super balanse. Mørke dessertsjokolader, litt mandarin og vanilje. Mektige saker - et lite glass er nok, en utmerket deleøl. "Dette va’ stiligt" (Arne). Kanskje den hadde vært enda bedre med litt mindre sødme?

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 24.04.17 and 18.06.18. Almost black. Beige head. Aroma and sweet taste of dark chocolate, filled chocolates, vanilla and wood. Excellent!!!

I have saved this for a good occasion. Turning 50 seemed like a good one. Lovely evening sipper b the fire with some good friends.
Very dark opaque color with a fine dense beige head. Good lacing down the sides of the glass. Looks solid and inviting. Pleasant intensity in the aroma with some chocolate and espresso coming up. Creamy thick texture with a smooth carbonation level. Easy to drink. Complex and flavor full beer. New layers explored as the temperature changes. Chocolate, nutty, molasses, coffee and toffee are the most prominent flavors in my mouth. Dangerously well masked alcohol. Highly recommendable!

Aroma: Malt and chocolate with ripe fruits. Flavour: sweet berries and chocolate with malt and coffee. Aftertaste is fruity and alcoholic warm like port with a malty twist. Mouthfeel is creamy and warm. Colour: Black with a fading tan head.

Bottle at tasting. Aroma of sweat creamy vanilla, marshmellow and chocolate. Taste has sweet marshmellows, yeats, creamy roasted malt, booze, milk chocolate, creamy coffee, soft nuts and a sweet finish. Great dessert beer.
