Keg at Maximilians Altes Kaufhaus, Koblenz. Hazy coppery brown, mid sized head. Caramelly nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Butterscotch and grain. Resinous bitter finish.

22-09-19 // 100ml taster at Maximilians Brauwiesen Almost clear brown. Nose has touches of sweet malts. Mild roasted malts, mild sweetish but dry. Solid Dunkel.

Many thanks for this bottle to Beerhunter111. Clear dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, grainy and nutty.

Hopfig-herber Antrunk mit deutlich grasigem Einschlag. Zudem geringfügig malzig im erdigen Stil. Hiervon ist im Mittelteil kaum noch etwas erkennbar, die frische Herbe überwiegt. Sehr aromatisch, im Abgang stärker malzig, wobei auch hier die Hopfenherbe überwiegt. Leckeres Bier, mäßiges Dunkles. 12/8/9/8/9

Dark brown color with red shades. I would say that it’s a plain caramel beer, with a simple aroma and a straightforward but simple flavor, and a strong bitterness. Unfortunately it’s lightly sour (old?), otherwise it would be very good.
